Now available is the RegistryTLC Community Blanket Program, which consists of two policies that work together with minimal involvement from the leasing team: the Community Blanket Policy and Renters Insurance Select. Key features of each policy include:
COMMUNITY BLANKET POLICY
- A unique form of property insurance that provides the apartment community with coverage for resident-caused loss due to specified perils
- Covers all occupied units for 100% participation
- Allows property managers to select covered perils and damage limits on a community-by-community basis
RENTERS INSURANCE SELECT
- A full HO-4 renters insurance policy that provides liability and contents coverage to residents
- Residents may select from a menu of available coverages, limits, and payment plans
- Resident enrollment and payment are handled through a secure website, without leasing staff intervention
- All residents accepted by the community are automatically approved for this program
The Community Blanket Program complements RegistryTLC’s existing renters insurance policy, Renters Advantage. With Renters Advantage, the process is simple – with minimal leasing team involvement, clients are positioned for 100 percent resident participation. The policy, in most states, names the property owner as the primary insured and pays claims directly to the owner. Launched in mid-2003, Renters Advantage has experienced incredible market success and has driven high insurance participation for covered communities. In fact, half of the properties using Renters Advantage reach 50 percent renters insurance participation within 12 months of implementation. This is well above the industry average of less than 20 percent participation.
